Eric's Story
Fueled by a passion for design, and fostering long-lasting customer relationships, Eric Cardinal first opened Mood Moss Flowers in 2004, and has been serving the Vanier and Rockcliffe communities since.
Eric was influenced to become a florist after seeing the 1996 chickflick “Bed of Roses” starring Christian Slater and Mary Stuart Masterson. He enrolled in the Algonquin College Floral Design Program in 1997 as the only man in his class. After receiving his diploma in 1998, Eric worked for multiple flower shops across Ottawa for 6 years, always thinking about Beechwood Avenue to open his own business. By the time he was ready to make the move to open his own business, Eric found the current home of our shop. Eric took a risk, signed a 10 year lease and opened Mood Moss Flowers.

Buffy
Buffy has been a part of Mood Moss since its early years. A graduate from the Algonquin College Floral Design Program, she has been in the industry since 1993, and worked for Mood Moss for 14 years. An Ottawa local, Buffy plays a key role in facilitating the store's efficiency and supplier operations.

Raised in Ottawa, Dev has been a part of our shop since 2020. With a collective 9 years of experience, Dev continues to bring on the positivity and good vibes with each design she makes.
Favorite flower: Anemone! :)

Dianne
Originally from Richmond Hill, Dianne joined us in 2022 and has since contributed to making the store run smoothly from behind the scenes. She brings on 30 years worth of industry knowledge and the most calming presence!

Lauren
Lauren began working at Mood Moss in 2022 as our resident plant expert, and has since added flower design to their repertoire of talents. Born and raised in Ottawa, Lauren is also a professional photographer, and has shot many of our own customers' weddings!

Veronica
A Calgary native, Veronica first joined the flower industry in 2020. Our go-to Spanish speaker and Marketing girl continues to flower arrange while supporting our website and digitalization efforts.

Grace
Grace picked up flower arranging in 2022 when she began working for us. Originally from Almonte, Grace has contributed to multiple aspects of the store, from plant and flower arranging to office operations. You can now find her working most during the holiday seasons!
